Voodoo Brake lights...

I'm pretty stumped. I first noticed about 5 weeks ago that when I push my brake pedal with either the engine OFF or the car running and the headlight switch OFF, my running lights go on. They'll stay on until I release pressure from the brake pedal. I also hear a little *click* when I put my foot on the breaks. It's almost like when the cruise control shuts off.

All my fuses are good. All the bulbs are good. And I have no brake lights. I just found this out yesterday while on the freeway when someone finally has the decency to pull up next me and let me know. So then I started thinking.. I very well could have been driving around for almost 6 weeks like this.

Anybody have any ideas? I'm thinking on replacing the switch off the brake pedal assembly that goes to the lights. I pulled the transformer from it and the clicki went away.

Any help would be much appreciated...

Ok.. now I'm really stumped.. I changed out the brake switch and the same crap is happening.

Would it be possible for 1 bulb to take out all of them? I mean the 3rd is out and the ones in the tail.
