Hatch motor
Sorry my ignorance, but I have some stupid questions. How the hatch motor works in an 87 Gta? My car has an anti thief alarm (Furi, model 303), How it works?
The hatch motor works from a small switch in the latch assembly, a relay and a direction switch mounted with the motor.
When you close the hatch the part on the hatch goes into the latch and trips a little switch also, which starts the motor going down. Once the motor pulls the hatch down all the way a tab on the shaft that pulls the hatch is supposed to trip the direction switch so that when you release the hatch the motor drives the latch back to the up position and the shaft again trips the position switch so it is ready to go down when the switch in the latch is tripped.
The alarm you have is an aftermarket one, do a google search on it and see if that turns up anything.
