I need some help wiring my hatch popper. I am a little confused. I dont know what to do with the connector with the orange and yellow wire(2nd pic) Thats how the popper gets power but I dont know how to wire it. I dont think it unplugs from my parts car. What can I do to wire it up to the connector in my 1st pic? Any help is appreciated since I need to get this done by Friday.

Well Mike,

First off, you have the wires wrong. The yellow wire is supposed to come off the switch at "C2" and a brown wire at "C1". The yellow then goes to pin "B" of a three pin connector. The brown wire goes to pin "3" of the relay. An orange wire comes off the relay at pin "1" and also connects to pin "C" of this connector along with the wire from the switch. A black wire goes from pin "2" of the relay and connects to pin "A" of that same connector. The three wires that connect to the other part of this connector are as follows. Pin "A" is an orange wire that goes to the "ACC" fuse on the fuse block for power. Pin "B" is a dark green/white wire that goes to pin "F" of the gear selector (P/N) switch. Pin "C" is a black wire that goes to pin "C" of the hatch release and pull down assembly.

Cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I just got two more questions lol. I really think you should be a mod Trickster!! Your a big help to me lol and a lot of other people. Just making sure, for the orange wire in the pic below I wire that to the ACC fuse on the fuse block. I can do that by just hooking it up to a connector that has a metal piece to stick in the block right? What do I do about the yellow wire? What is its purpose? Do I need it? Thanks!!!!

Hello Mike,

As far as the orange wire to the ACC connection, you can do what you suggested or you can splice into one of the wires going to it. The rest of the info has been sent to your e-mail.
