Rear Hatch still won't Shut!!!

I have checked all fuses in the fuse panel, all are good to include the 15amp lid and the 20amp ACC fuse. As I am checking the voltage near the hatch motor, the red/white line is 12.34vdc the wire goes into a blue wire @ 12.34vdc then they all go into somekind of relay with multpile wires 2 white, 2 blue, 2 brown, 2black. Is this the rear fuse, or some kind of control module?

Well then I test the voltage to the connector going into the motor itself. One blue @ 12.34vdc, one brown @ 12.34vdc, one white at 0vdc, and an orange @ -.045vdc. Where does the orange wire come from? When I depress the switch where the metal bracket from the hatch goes into, the orange wire voltage goes to 0.00vdc. The hatch release in the center console works fine, just can't get the motor to function even when I close the hatch. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks guys!

Took the whole assembly appart, Still thinkn' it may be the orange wire that comes from the switch on the latch to the connector that goes into the motor, because I get no reading from that wire with it latched or unlatched, the other two wires coming from there are a black (ground I assume) and a white, neither of these read voltage either. This is frustrating the #$#$ out of me. Short of tearing off my center console to replace the relay (which I am hoping to avoid), does anyone have any other suggestions or clues? Just seems like the motor isn't being told to turn on or off, the power is getting there though. Thanks.

mine does the same thing, I cant solve why. I took the relay off of mine and put it on my friends 89 IROC, and it worked fine, but we tried his with no relay what so ever, and it worked, WTF i the relay for?
But mine doesnt do anything when it closes, doesnt behave like any electrical stuff is goin on.... anyone know that problem? lol

But the way to get it to lock is to take a sharpie and mark all around that thing where it sits as it, then loosten the 3 13mm bolts and slide it up just a little bit, play with it a bit, and then you can lock your hatch.... and when you fix it, you put that thing back to where it belongs, lol
