Bad window motors or bad switches?
Hey guys,
I was in my car the other day and I went to roll down the window and it wouldn't move at first. Then I noticed it only went down when I had the switch pushed down almost all the way, but not quite. When I would put the switch all the way down, it would stop. Does that sound like a problem in the switches or in the motors? I'm looking at replacing the motors anyway, but I might as well get switches too if I need them. Thanks in advance.

hey man i had the same problem which i managed to fix.....
First off its probably not your switch.....which was a big mistake for me
I ripped apart my door pannel (drivers side casue thats where the problem was) and to my surprise the 2 wires going to the windo motor had the insulation off and grounding out on the door frame!! so i was like ****ty.....so i taped them up and now it all works awsome.....i doubt its the switch cause thats what i first thought but found even when i used the switch for the passengers side for the drivers side (i switched it) the window still didnt work.......but yeah man check for some insulation rubbing off:lala:

swtiches, mine do it also.
My head light switch does it too. For the longest time i thought my head light motors were burn out. Till one day i pressed the switch a little and they popped up.

Does the other switch work normally? If so, try swapping it with the suspected faulty one.
