Remote coil

I have an 87 Camaro w/ 305 4bbl (grocery getter) that the motor has been out of for a few years, thanks to the wife.
I picked up a motor from a friend and dropped it in last weekend. The new motor had an EFI distributor ( coil in cap) the old motor had a remote coil dist. So I swapped them out to accomedate the existing wiring harness conections. All seems fine, the dist. is installed in the correct posistion, plug wires connected in proper order yada yada.... But no spark to plugs. OK here is my question, The remote coil has two plug in ports ( not counting coil wire ) I can only find one plug that fits, the same for the distributor. Can anyone tell me if these two ports, one on the coil and one on the dist., are supposed to be open or did I miss something
Thanks very much for any and all help !

Re: Remote coil

Did you ever get this solved? I have the same setup 88 TPI, and found that the TPI Air Intake temperature sensor fits into the other connection. I couldn't remember where it went, but now I don't get any spark and can't figure out why. This is the first start try after the engine swap.
