Routing Wires

I want to route some wires from the engine compartment to the passenger compartment for a custom switch. Where would be the best or easiest way to route the wires? I was thinking maybe up through area near the transmission and mount the switch next to the shifter. Any suggestions?

Cool, thanks. I was thinking about drilling a hole in the firewall but I wanted to hear that someone else had done it first.

I ran some wires in through the same place on the passnger side behind the kick panel. Going through with the rest of the wires.. Another spot is following the speedo cable if you have one..
