anyone have a scanner for alarm?

hey guys i just got a new alarm and kool lightscan its the one that look like the bat symbole, anyway it has a button on it to change the light patter but everytime i put it to the one i want and shut off alarm and turn it back on it goes back to the same old pattern. does anyone know how to set the patter to work all the time when alarm it turned on???

oh and it is thirdgen i put it on my 83 z28

if it is the varad brand, then that is because u didnt wire the red "memory" wire to a constant +12volts, then the yellow trigger wire goes to your alarm just like u have it now, keep in mind, that hooking the red wire to a +12volts, the scanner is still running while the alarm is disarmed, just the lights in it arent activated so it has potential to drain battery if left for a very long time
