in my 91 RS, i just put in a LO5 from SDPC2000 and everything was peachy till it started laggin on the startup... so i bought a new starter, installed it and everything again was peachy until about 15 starts... now the damn thing wont go again... i took off the plastic bellhousing cover and as I had my brother turn the ignition on, i saw the starter gear move up to the flywheel, but it didnt turn.. the motor didnt even try to turn... but it is a new starter... the electrical problem i think it might be is ignition... when i have the key ALMOST to the start position, the drivers side kickpanel sounds like wires grounding out... and i put my hand on it and it vibrates... when i have the key turned to ON and i connect the battery back on, the knock sensor module and something near the front of the drivers side (im thinking that vaccuum looking thing connecting to the TBI unit) click when contact is made... sounds to me like a safe mode or something... i have no idea though as I am a complete newbie to 3rdgen Electrical... PLZ HELP i need her fixed... she is my Daily driver!!
