Berlinetta Digital Dash into IROC

Hi guys,

I've managed to get hold of a s/hand digital dash out of a Camaro Berlinetta.
Anyone know what is involved in getting this working in my 88 IROC TPI?
The digi dash looks to have just a single multiway plug connector on it but I have no doubt life is not going to be that simple and my IROC will have an analogue speedo cable and stuff...

I have an '85 Berlinetta with the digital dash, and your best bet is to sell the IP on e-Bay and use the money for something else on your car. There is alot more to installing the IP than just matching the connectors. I believe the dash itself has to be replaced to mount the IP. That screws up the HVAC controls, radio mount, and headlight switches. The Berlinetta didn't have a column mounted control for the wipers/turn signals and cruise. It was done on the dash. To convert, you also need the control boxes mounted under the passinger side dash, harnessing, etc.., etc...

I think it's a cool looking dash, but way too much work to fit in a regular car.

But if you really, really, really want to spend the time to try, let me know. There are a couple of guys that are very good with the Berlinetta model on these forums (I can find their emails later), and one even sells a CD with nearly all the Berlinetta schematics.

Good Luck!

Well it didn't cost me much, 50 dollars or something.

I figured the car wiring must be largely the same (for cost reasons) with adapters (control boxes and so on) used to convert the signals etc.
Obviously I don't have that stuff.

Anyone know excatly what items I would need then?
I'm not planning on converting the indicators to be dash controlled, just as long as I can get some sort of inidicator light flashing like I have now using my std stalk and setup is fine. Same goes for the rest of the exotic bits.
I just want to convert what I have on my dash now to the new dash.
So oil, temp, volts, fuel (these 4 might be easy depending how its wired) speedo and revs along with the warnging lights (they might be easy).

I seem to remember seeing schematics posted on here when I did a search, I'll look them up again and see if I can work out what's going on...
