aftermarket gauges?whats the deal on this?
i have two indiglo auto meter gauges one oil pres and the other water temp. heres the porblem the water temp is not working, every time i turn the key from the off position the needle just flings right across to the other side. does this mean that the gauge is broken? or could this be caused from a bad ground?what would make it do this?

Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
Shorted as in connected directly to ground, intentional or not. May be caused by a pinched wire.
