90-92 Firebird switch lights

The 90-92 Birds used tiny red LED's to illuminate the hatch/defrost/fog light switch bank.. One of mine is burned out and another starting to go.. It's flickering.

Does anyone know where you can pick up these LED's ? They're tiny.. about 1/8 inch..

The dealer doesn't have them...

I thought I would bring this to the top again cause it is a good question. A couple of these swich lights are burnt out on mine too. No luck at the pontiac dealer. I purchased some assorted LED's at Radio Shack but they only burnt right out. They couldn't handle the volts/watts. Some kind of electronics place should have them. But we don't know exactly what the specs should be for the LED's. Anyone have any opinions on this???

If the LED's will physically fit into the housing, all you would need to add would be the proper resistor. About 680 ohms will be sufficient for all colors.

Oh yeah, and the T1 size LED is 3mm or very close to 1/8" in diameter.

Go to a junkyard and scarf up all of the lighted switches you can find and use the LED's from them.
