no knock detected

me and a friend replaced the intake gaskets and after that my car had all sorts of knock. it will give about 5 counts in 1st, here and there knock in 2nd and consistant knock in third . this happens when im firmly in the gas and between 3-400 rpm. i replaced the knock sensor, plug, o2, ESC,.
we put the car on ramps and tapped next to teh knock sensor with no results. all of this was done using diacom. my timing was set at 6' per the sticker. is there something i over looked?
we checked the plug for power and its got power and ground.
how do i go about testing the other terminals in the plug going to the ESC?
i cant drop my motor in until i figure out WHY it has knock from the intake gasket replacement and why its not detecting knock.

If you're using the stock damper, don't discount the fact the outer inertia ring may have spun a little. My beater shows 2°atdc timing when, after remarking TDC on the damper, it's (roughly) 4°btdc. I set it to 2° (stock is 0) to avoid knock running 87oct.

i gave that consideration but this happend IMMIDIATELY after we replaced the intake gaskets. one of my friends is saying its a ground issue in the D terminal on the plug possibly. he said loss of ground at the esc module would cause a high signal. That would lead to excessive knock which is whats going on with me.
what im thinking is the moving of the harness caused a brake in the wire ir it rubbed and chaffed which caused a break during the gasket replacement.
he posted earlier and mentioned this. being he is a GM tech in training and is a thirdgenner helps greatly.
im gonna see if me him and another bird brothern can get together and fix this issue sometime this week. and luckily for us we all have factory helm manuals!!!
as for teh balancer, im looking into a TCI rattler. being i work at comp i get a wicked discount .
