Guage and wire question.
2 Different questions really, ill start with my guages. My middle 3 guages havent worked since I got the car, the fuel, temp and voltmeter. I replaced the printed circuit on the back with 2 different circuits and none of the guages still work. I have the Haynes schematics and I can read schematics very well, but likeining them to where the wires are inside the car is greek to me. I can only figure its maybe? a wiring problem? I got under and looked around and found a few plugs I need now. 2 I know what they are, bright light plug and fog light plug, but one has left me baffled, I dont know how to put a picture in my post, so I put them on page 3 of my cardomain website, any help would be greatly apreciated! Thanks.

Hello 89IROCZTPI,
Which wiring diagram would you like for your car. Yes, the wiring schematics in the haynes and chilton manuals do leave a lot to be desired.

Dont know if you looked at my cardomain site, but I was trying to figure out where the green wire went in the 1st picture, as it was torn out of the plug. Basically im trying to find a spot to start troubleshooting why my middle 3 gauges still arent working. Thanks again!

Look inside the connector for a pin that doesn't have a wire to it. Usually there won't be a pin in a slot that doesn't have a wire. Also look at the other half of that connector and see what pin the green wire goes to and match them up.

Ill recheck the plug again, but I want to say it went green-green. I just have no idea what the plug/wires really do. They apparently have nothing to do with my non-working guages as I had the plug unplugged and drove down the road just fine. It might be a bit before I can check the plug though, as it wont quit raining

I went out to my car and did a quick check of that connector. There are five wires in it. They are black, green, tan, blue/white, and blue/black. The colors all match on the two parts of the connector. I will get back to you on their function shortly.

Okay 89IROCZTPI,
I just went back out to my car and verified what I had a suspicion about. Those wires go to the cruise control unit in the engine compartment at the left side of the radiator.
