Its not a big issue, but my darn seatbelt light wont go out, even if the belts are in place. Is there any wiring that i can check that may have a short in it to stop this false reading? I dont want to just pull the bulb, i want know why its staying on. It has never dont this before. thanks.

 

If I were to guess (which I am), I would say there is a fault in the 'audible alarm' which controls the seatbelt light (power, ground is tied with others to a common). It's located in the (in)convenience center under the dash.

 

thanks for posting, can you be more specific to what part under the dash? there is alot of crap in there to sift through, HA! One guy told me the lamp driver module was on the pass side, it took forever for me to find it. But if i knew the general area it would have helped greatly. I have seen the audible alarm on the wiring diagrams, but never had a clue where on the car to look. thanks again.

 

While I realize your car has a few years on mine, the 'convenience' center is going to be in the same local.
I ripped mine out (as it annoyed the s___ out of me) but, it would normally be where the arrow is pointing, next to the horn & hazzard relay (excuse the mess as wiring is still in progress).....
