Other than a slight security problem, its as easy as switching the power source. Just be sure it gets an inline circuit breaker or fuse. This is an especialy useful feature when its about to rain, and you don't have your keys with you.

I do this mod to all of my cars. (Would-bd theives don't know I do this, and besides, they'd have to disable the alarms first...)

First, find the power window breaker in your fusebox. Remove it and meter the sockets that it sits in. Find the terminal that DOES NOT have +12 voltage on it when you turn the key to RUN.

Now, find a different terminal that has +12 power on it at all times.

If you don't care about stock, you can solder wires directly to the breaker, and terminate them in 1/4" spade tabs, for easy installation into your fusebox. If you want, you can put 1/4" spade sockets onto the other end of the wire, and plug them into the breaker directly.

If you need pics, let me know and I'll go out and take some.

The black & white wires go to the original breaker, which is now taped up to prevent shorting. This fuse panel is from a 1986 Special Edition.
