Power Window cuts in and out
My passenger window didnt want to roll up this morning when i got to work. I had to press the up and down button a few times and then it went up. It is kind of slow on the rolling up and down. Could this be a loose connection, or signs of a motor going bad?
Thanks

Did you clean and lube the runners and rollers since your last post on this problem. You might also want to check the connectors on the motors and the switches. And yes, it could mean that the motors are on the way out. But check these other items first. Also, those felt wipers on the door frame get dirty at times and will grab the windows making them slow.

What is the best way to clean them? I washed the car last weekend. Maybe i should spray it down with a pressure washer. I did not check the motors in the door yet, because last time i posted they were just going slow, now the passenger is sticking.
Now that i think of it, i dont think it would be bad wiring, i could hear the window trying to move up but wouldnt like it got stuck, so it might be that it is just sticking on that striping.
Thanks again trickster!

Run the windows down and remove the inner door panel and the plastic weather guard if installed. If you look inside the door panel, you will see the tracks and rollers for the windows. Run the windows back up and take a can of carb cleaner and spray them real good to clean them. If you can get your hand in there with a small toothbrush would be great. Here is a picture of the areas mentioned. After cleaning, lube them good with a spray can of white lithium grease or heavy duty silicone spray lubricant. Clean the connectors with electrical contact cleaner. You can clean those felt pieces but you may have to replace them. If you do replace them, mark their location so you can put them back in the same place.
