idiot lights?

Just wondering about something.
The idiot lights on the dash. (1992 firebird) I have security, airbag, service engine, seatbelt. Are the other two suppose to light up?

Transmission: 700R4

There should be a brake warning light that comes on momentarily when you turn the key to start. What is the other light in question, shift light maybe?
