Toggle switch headlights

Out of curiousity, is it possible to wire headlights to a toggle switch, like a simple on/off function? My headlight plug (where if goes to the dash) kind of "died" on me.

Sure, as long as you use a switch that can handle the power load.
Did the harness plug melt or something ? I would think if I were going to take the time to go in and wire a toggle, might as well fix the problem at the source. Just my opinion though..
