Fan hotwire <Quick help
Ok for the past 2 weeks my 1986 firebird T/A has been overheating... All my fan wires and sensers got deep fried when my fan got knocked out of position and got stalled (motor burned up and so did wires)... Im trying to direct wire my fan to a hotwire when the car is on... My problem is all the wires ive found so far dont produce enough power to run the fan at enough rpm to keep the car cool.. I really dont wanna run a hotwire to a switch. Ive gotten to many switches and gizmos in my car as it is.. Can someone please post a picture of a wire or area where there is a hotwire when the car is on.. Color named if possible.. Ive already tried testing lines but ive had no luck
Thanks Westley

When my coolant fan was hotwired, I discovered a wire mounted between the tan/white and black/red wires at the fan relay. Your wire colors may be slightly different based on year and model of the car, but the idea is the same.
CHECK YOUR AIR DAM! It's the thing underneath the car that usually gets knocked off when you run over a large speed bump or curb, and should be mounted to the radiator support. If its not there, you better put one there fast!

Wish I could help you but I cant. Trickster probably knows. You can pm him. I had mine hooked directly into the fuse block (hotwired). But all it did was eat away the wire and block from sparking everytime I would start the car. I hooked mine up to a switch.
