OK, i have an 1986 Trans Am. Everything is fine and now things go wrong. My current problem started about a month ago. My headlights turn on, just dont pop up. I dont think its the motors b/c how could bnoth go at the same time? Alos, when i put them up manually, if i hit the switch down, they go down. My mechanic says it isnt the relays b/c they are clicking. What else could it be? a switch? if so how do i check? Alos, my mechanic recommended me to go to my pontiac dealership( go figure) but i know ill get ripped off. Im 17 and just cant afford to have this whol diagnostic work up, any help would be appreciated...

Hello Adam,

There are three relays in that circuit for the headlight doors. Here is a schematic of the doors and a troubleshooting chart for them that might help you with pinning your problem down.
