87 Wiring Harness vs 88 Wiring Harness???

87 TPI 305 car. Going to swap a TPI 350 from an 88 car into the 87. Can I just change the CPU and injectors or do I have to swap the whole engine harness from the 88 into the 87?

Please help!

If you're re-using the '87 TPI, an injector swap, prom for a 305 and a different knock sensor are the only things that come to my mind that have to be changed.
The only difference I can think of between the 2 years is 88, the secondary fan operates with the primary when the A/C is turned on. '87, just the primary (ECM controlled) fan runs with the A/C. '88 also got new (or, I guess, updated would be more correct)relays.

So I just need to swap the Injectors, Knock sensor and get a chip burned for the changes right?

When does the secondary fan kick on for the 87? I need to keep it running cool.

The secondary fan is strictly fan switch controlled (at least it was on my '87) and the oem fan switch is 238° (oddly, the primary fan control for the TBI cars).

The way I did mine was to buy a JET fan switch (200° on, 185° off) and make the secondary fan the primary. The ECM controlled fan is not the secondary which is kicked on a 220°-ish (off around 205-210°).

The '88 is the same with the exception of the A/C will just kick on both fans instead of just the primary. IT still uses a 238° fan switch during normal operation.

Other than injectors, the intake for 305 & 350 is 100% the same.
Also, unless you're planning on a pretty hot setup on the 350, the stock MAF prom is pretty forgiving on a modded motor.

All just my opinion and fuzzy memory granted
