msd ignation

I just bought my older brother's 84 z28 camaro(305) and he told me that i should get MSD ignation. is it worth the $200 some or should i stay with the stock stuff. Also how easy is it to install? Will it give me better mpg, does it give me more hp? thanks in advanced for the help

If the car is relatively stock, you'll see no gains from it.

Get an aftermarket coil and module for your distributor and you'll be fine for a long time.
