Dakota Digital FP gauge anyone have one?

Does anyone have one of those Dakota Digital Fuel Pressure gauges installed in their car? I am thinking about getting 3 gauges, Volts,Trans Temp, Fuel Pressure and mounting them in the ashtray compartment like Willie did.

A few months ago I read that installing a FP gauge inside the car is unsafe? What is the connection on the Test Pressure port on the TPI? I have to ask Dakota if their sender mounts to it or will I need an adaptor.

Maybe someone knows.

If you are set on digital guages, try Cyberdyne guages. i have their FP guage in the 2 guage A piller pod. The guage uses an electrical sender which I have mounted on the firewall with a 12" #4 braided steel line connecting it to the schrader valve on the fuel rail.

Thanks Morely I had a look at the Cyberdyne units and they just dont look as good as the Dakota ones. I actually foudn out that the Dakota use a 1/8" NPT fitting for the sended so basically I need a -4AN to 1/8" adaptor they are only couple dollars.

Since it uses capillary tubing and is a mechanical guage, you aren't going to be able to mount it inside the car, legally, too dangerous.

No no it is not a mechanical gauge it uses and electrical sender so you just run electrical wires into the car: )

Big $$$$ there. The Cyberdyne guage was half that (I know you said you didn't like it) Also Cyberdyne's are guaranteed for life
