Cleaning oxidation off the wiring terminals?
Anyone know of a good product to clean oxidation off the female terminals inside the connectors?
I'm looking for something that will get the terminals nice and shiny again. I had a few things on the engine harness disconnected for awhile during the restoration and now the terminals look dull and grayish.

How they look isn't as important as how well it conducts, even though dull looking USUAL is bad it's not always. For contact cleaner Caig makes a line called DeoxIT. I used a LOT of different contact cleaners and this stuff it the BEST I've used.

Go for the D5 version, it's great stuff and worth is weight in gold to a tech (that's me).

I second the DeoxIT .....great stuff!
Newer cars are using electrical connector grease to minimize oxidization. Thirdgens should use this, since the plugs aren't even air tight.
