relocation the battery..a little help
So I'm trying to move my battery to the trunk. I already have a 4 gauge power wire running my amp so can I just use that power wire as the hot wire and ground the battery to the chassis. I'd also connect that hot wire to the red battery wire under the hood and connect the black battery wire to the frame....will this work or will it ground itself out?

4 gauge is the absolute minimum. I use and recommend 2 gauge for both power and ground. It helps if you have a gear reduction starter as they draw less current.
Most guys put it in the spare tire well.
Some use a battery box, some just strap it down. To pass a tech inspection you have to have a sealed box which is vented outside the car.
