hatch pulldown striker switch
ok, so i am trying to find out if a hatch pulldown unit i purchased from ebay is good or not. i have wired it up and nothing. at this point i am trying to bypass the striker switch to see if it is bad, how do i do this. i assumed by looking at the wiring that i woult connect orange to white. no good.
ok heres how the wiring looks
to the switch you have three wires; white, orange, black. orange is hot. black and white are not. black is ground.
logic would dictate that current would stop at the switch and flow through the white wire once the switch is open. why is this not the case?
