electrical demons
Hi all,
Hope somebody can help me solve my electrical demons once and for all. I have been blowing the gauges fuse for the last week or so at a regular interval. Then on the weekend I had trouble getting it to start and then it had the SES light on. When I pulled the codes it was 24 and 54. I checked everything out and pulled the positive wire off the battery to reset and it ran great for a few hours. Started up first turn for the rest of the day. Went to start it today and SES light, hard starting is back. Then the gauge fuse blows and it starts fine right away. Any thoughts on what is happening. The car is a 350tpi.
thanks
Scott

I will be tracing the wiring tomorrow. The two problems, hard starting and the fuse blowing are almost certainly related as I left the fuse blown a few mornings this week and it started right up with no effort. Turn the key and start on first turn. When I put the fuse in and try to start it then it turns and turns and turns and I have to turn key 3 times to get it to catch. Hope I find this issue tomorrow.
