SES Light Help
Ok I am Going to be making my own Guage Panel With AutoMeter Guages in the near future.
My Question is What Type of Light or Led can Be used and how do I wire it. I hooked up my Volt meter the other day to my SES light Wiring to see what wires it was. I had a Jumper Between pins A-B on the ALDL but there was no guage cluster in the car just the harness. I am pretty sure it looks for some type of Resistance to work properly. Jim85IROC, Tim Burgess, Trickster anyone Please..

Ok Trickster after your Pm I guess it would make more Sense on Explaning on What I Plan to use and how I want to do it. That way I get the Help Without Grabbing at straws.
ok For My Guages I am Going to Use All Autometer Phantom Electric Guages.
The Dash Panel Will House a 5" Speedometer, 5" Tach 2 5/8" Fuel Level Guage, Two Green L.E.Ds (turn signal) One Blue L.E.D (High Beams) one Orange L.E.D for SES Light (if Possiable) Now I have Baught a Autometer 3 Guage Panel That I Am FIberglassing in Where The Center Vents are on a Camaro. It Will house 2 5/8" Water Temp, 2 5/8" Oil Pressure, 2 5/8" Fuel Pressure. Then I will have a Autometer 3 Guage Pillar Pod that will House 2 1/16" Trans Temp, 2 1/16th Oil Temp 2 1/16th Volt Guage.
Then Some Where I will Find a Place to Mount the Shift Light. lol
Below is a Quick PhotoShop Of The Basic Idea of the Dash Panel
BTW I am Keeping the 1227165 ECM so That is why I need a functional SES lol

I am very Very Picky on Being able to see exactly What the Engine, Tranny is doing. Most People Probally Think I am crazy for Going With Some of these Guages but it is better to know that if the tranny fluid is running hot I know I have a problem Before the Tranny or converter Breaks. I usually Draft a Web page of each project I am doing With Part # and ECT to make sure I get Everything, Some times I don't even Publish it to the web Just Easy way to orginize Info for my Self. Thanks for the Quick Reply Let me know what you find out.
