quick maf sensor question

ok, check engine light went on, car started running bad, took it to mechanic, he said I needed new engine mounts, something was grinding my rear axil or some junk, and that the engine light was being caused by a bad maf sensor. He unplugged it, charged me $70 and i went home (never have a car checked out without askin how much itll b, he drove the thing once, looked under hood, checked ecu..took almost no time)

Isearched and searched, and finally found a used maf for $84 on ebay, screens in tact and all (not that it matters) he said it worked, it matched up perfect, looks exact same and the number he gave me is correct.....but the service engine light has not gone off....do I need to do something else? also, I have only driven the car once...about 2 miles, since installing, will driving it fix maybe?

...my camaro is my for fun car....79 corolla is my daily driver

Pull the code to see what it is and then disconnect the battery to clear the code.
