hey guys i've just posted this message yesterday in the engine help.. i'm thinkin i might have put it in the wrong place. here was my question:
so i buy my car 3 years ago.. everything was good. then 2nd year of having it in the ending of the summer.. around this time or year i was driving one night in the rain and all the sudden my wipers stopped working. so later on i find out the fuse popped. so i put a new fuse in and it pops it again. i try one more time and it lasted and i was thinking maybe a coincidence. so then it pops again and again.. finally realized i had a problem but my car was coming off the road so i didn't need to fix it right then. so it sat all winter and i put it on the raod again in may. the wipers worked for weeks. all the sudden popped a fuse. so i asked on here what you guys thought and you guys said it's most likely it's shorting out somewhere. so the other day i am messing around trying to find out what is wrong when i notice under my steering colum.. by my fuse box there is a bunch of wires all melted. so thinking my problem is in there.. i told my dad. so we wired my wipers to a toggle switch and a relay so it didn't burn out the switch. so now my wipers work. i work about a half hour away from my house. i drive to work in the rain.. made it there. just as we are pulling out to go home i'm starting my car, i hear a pop (kinda like a fuse) and then my starter stops trying to start my car. now when my car gets overly hot (i have a 160 degree thermostat and a 160 degree fan switch) when it gets around the tempature the cars run stock.. the car won't start. it has juice from the battery, but it doesn't crank over. do you guys think that my problem is where all the burnt wires are or do you guys think that something is wrong with my starter or something? oh also, when i heard the pop smoke started coming out of the fuse box area. i don't know wheather i should investigate more on the wiring in the fuse box or if my starting problem is something with other components?
alright so anyways somebody suggestest getting a wire schematic for all the wires. does anyone have something for me? thanks guys
