What the heck did they do?
Well I had my car done at the garage because i coulfn't get the heater fan to work, so I got it back and its works, however I looked at what they did, they spliced into the fan ground and made another one, so I have two now, then they spliced into the red power wire that goes to the fan saliod, now that spliced in wire runs from there saliod to a box type thing by the air cleaner, under the maf sensor relay. Theres a blue wire coming out of this box/tower thing, much thicker then the spliced in wire, but it connects to the spliced in wire with a fusable leak, now both these wires heat up and so does the relay and ground, nto to hot but warm when the fan is on. Can you guys tell me what they did here? I thought they maybe couldn't figur out why it was not getting power so they cut into the power wire with a live power and regged it like that. What ya think? First thing to do it to get your money back and find another shop. Thats utterly ridiculous for a shop to do a hack job. That solenoid you refer to is probably the high speed blower relay. I have no clue as to thier thinking.
Your description is that of a fusible link that was replaced "the easy way", with little regard to maintaining the original wiring integrity. The fusible link from the starter may have failed, or the link connector above and behind the engine may have failed, and the "technician" simply routed power from a new fusible link installed in the power cable near the radiator. Just a guess, though.

How do you go about tracing this problem down. The wire does heat up to luke warm but thats about it, should i worry about it ot leave it? That relay is right near the plug for the resisters. Do you guys know what it is called (where they tied in for power) So should i fix this or just leave it the way it is? Yeah I'm going to complain in Thursday my day off and see why they did this. Thanks
