ignition wiring

i was just wanting to put a hidden starter switch in my car, i was just wondering, i was looking in my repair manual, and it says that a yellow wire runs from the the steering colum to the starter solinoid, would i be correct in thinking that all i need to do is connect a hot wire (12 Volt) to one side of the switch and that yellow wire to the other side and the car should start. any imput?

Well to start with, that yellow wire goes to pin "B" of the "Clutch Start Switch" located on the clutch pedal. There is a purple wire that goes from pin "A" of that switch to the small post on the starter solenoid that is marked "S"

ya i was just looking at some of the wireing diagrams and it does say that a purple wire does go to the starter solenoid haha thanks for the correction that might not have gone well lol. but ok so if the purple wire goes to the S terminal on the starter solenoid does that mean if i hook up that purple wire to one end of my switch and a hot wire to the other end of the switch, shouldnt the car start? sound correct this time?

Do you still plan to have the lock cylinder incorporated in this or just go with the hidden switch?

Axle/Gears: stock??
what i say doing is. taking the yellow wire and splicing it. extening it to were your putting the switch then run it back to the other end of the spllic. this way whne you flip the switch to off no power gets the the purple wire rending your car useless
