Wiring help

Long story, but a shop messed up my starter wires and battery cable wires to the point that my car broke down. Anyway, a friend and I put one solid cable going from the battery to the starter, instead of the one with multiple splices. We also wired each of the starter wires into its own butt connector, instead of 3 wires going into one. There was a wire coming off the distribution block just to the right of the battery. It didn't look like it was connected to anything(we don't think) so we took it off. Now the car doesn't start, the fan doesn't go on and the fuel pump relay doesn't get any power. The fan used to go on when you turned the key, but now it won't go on at all.
If someone knows anything that I don't know I would appreciate if they could help out. Maybe a wiring diagram off the junktion block or something?
Thanks
