I recently acquired an 87 TA for a parts car. There is no engine, trans, or computer. It has a digital dash, but I want to be able to check it to see if it is any good. I hooked up power to the car, and the dash lit up fully (as far as I can tell) when I turned on the key, then settled down to what looks like normal. Is this the normal behavior for this cluster as this is very similiar to what my wife's Grand Marquis digital dash does.

Is this enough to say the dash is good? Are there any other tests that I can do to help determine if this cluster is good? Did a search, but could not find anything that answered my questions.

Could anybody possibly post pics of what the dash looks like with the key on, engine not running?

 

All of the dash lights come on when pwr is applied to the 91 GTA cluster that I have.
