i just switched from tbi to carb. i went to hook the alternator back up, when i touched the positive wire(the big one) not any of the ones in the plug, to the postive side of the battery it made a huge spark!?? what happened? is the alternator bad? grr...? i dont know? please help.

 

You shouldn't have hurt anything if everything is fused properly, did the same thing as if you had dropped a wrench that touched both battery cables together
