Ok this is really pissing me off. i have an 140 amp alt in my camaro and i just put in a 600 watt amp in my car. when my bass hits my light dim only when my subs are hitting hard. i just put in a new alt. do you think my battery could be the cause.!! ( i dont think i need a cap)

lol yeah you do need a cap obviously... possibly a new battery also.. walmart has cheap batteries.. id get the battery then see how u are..was everything fine without the system hooked up? like ur voltage? so u kno that ur not losing power somewhere else... see my car was fine untill i hooked the Rf1001 bd up to it.. so i blew the subs later on.. now i killed my alt and now the car struggles to stay at 11v...u should be fine tho must be the battery i think that alt u got would solve ur problem but if the battery isnt holding the charge .. ur sol

 

id step to an alltima battery if you got the cash.. the should be better for your buck
