Does this headlight switch I got off a newer third gen bird fit my 82.Its just that the set up the 82s had was hheadlight and diimer switch are horizontal and the switch/dimmer are vertical in newer third gens so I dont know if the newer third gen headlight and dimmer switch will fit my 82 s/e?

ok ,I guess I have to go to the yard and test out my gray dimmer and headlight switch for myself in this 84 bird tomorrow .......

 

They should work...but why not get the correct 82-84 black switchs from the dealer? They are all still available and not too expensive. I replaced the power window and door lock switchs on my '84 and the window switchs were about $8 each and door lock switches about $4 each. This is probably the first time my power window switches have said UP and DN since 1984!

I can get you the part numbers if you need them. I have a 82-92 parts microfiche that my dealer gave me.

 

Well,my swithces are fine but I was just curious ,besides ,I kinda like the gray ones and if the ones I have now break at least I know the gray ones will fit.thanks dens71TA.
