installing new fuel gauge

1986 trans am

my car was originally equipped with the digital dash cluster. the wires are all still there, and i was wondering which wire can i use to install a aftermarket fuel gauge. im looking for the wire that goes to the sender. also is it possible to use the old sender or will i have to replace it. thanks

It is the pink wire going to pin "5" of connector C2 (34 pin connector). If you need a pin-out of the digital cluster connectors let me know and I will post it later. BTW, you can use the same sending unit.
