Transmission: Th-400, 700r4
Axle/Gears: 3.42,2.73
Swapping instrument clusters
I want to put a 88 Formula cluster into an 83 TA. ? is it just plug in or do I have to rewire it. I really like the checker board look.
Im going to keep the houseing for the 83 and just change out the ele. part

If it is an electrical cluster that you want to put in you are in for a ton of fun. The 83 cluster uses a cable driven speedo and the electrical one doesn't. However there is an article on the tech board here about converting to an electrical cluster in firebirds.
