Signal Arm/cruise control question

hey guys, I just replaced my signal arm in my firebird, and it has the cruise on it. The signals work, the wipers work, even the intermittent and the washer for it, but as soon as I turn the cruise control on, my fuse for the guages blow. There are 4 coloured wired on the new signal arm, and 4 that are on the car from the old signal arm and 3 of the 4 wire colours matched. what can I do to fix this so the fuse stops blowing and I can have my cruise control back? Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.

is it possible a wire is pinched/shorting inside? Also I guess your CC worked fine before the replacement? Otherwise there could be a problem somewhere else.
