another headlight story...

my lights wont go up or down. the motors dont even come on. but i did test them with wire and a car battery and they did work. but..i thought my module was gone. i got one off ebay used (stupid...) didnt work. it clicks, but didnt work. i used one of those circuit checkers that look like a screw driver and saw the origional one flashed the bulb quick. the other one kept it on longer. i thought maybe the old one worked but maybe it wasnt connected somewhere but the headlights them selves do work...so..is it a short?? because before all this, i had hit something with the front corner of my car. it pushed up the blinker about an inch, the nose popped right back out. but..since then it acted funny. when i clicked on the switch for the parking lights they would come on but the lights would also flip up but wouldnt be on. then one day they just stopped all together. it was raining...so..is it a short?..bad module..im thinkin about putting it in the shop and tellin him i think its a short.

thanx again for your help

Sounds like to me that you have a short in the wiring. Check out the area that got hit to see if there is a wire pinched and shorting out or even broken, I bet it is one of those 2. Good luck
