Transmission: all steel t700r4,1300 stall yahooooooooooo
ignition switch

i put another steering column in my 82 z28 sometimes i have ignition but the car wont start,,,,,,,,,,everything is new,,,,is there any adjustment or rods that go from the actual key in the column assemble,, the turn switch that can be adjusted correctly,,so i get full ignition,,my high beam needs adjusting i know that can be adjusted on the column switch,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,need help cant drive the car,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,sometimes it starts sometimes i dont,,,,,,,,

It's not the rods that need adjusting, it is the ignition switch and dimmer switch mounted to the steering column under the dash that needs adjusting.

how do i adjust the ignition and dipper switch,,,,,the car seems to have ignition then no ignition,,,wont crank,,,,,,,everything brand new,,,starter battery,,,,600cca battery,,,,2hp starter,,,new leads,,haw can the ignition be adjusted,,its like starting the car in drive,,,,,just wont start,,or crank,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,1/2 hour later it will start,,,no worries,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the dipper switch opperates iff the steering column is tilted up all the way,,,,,,,,,,,,soonn as i lower it ,,the switch wont click on or off,,high or low,,,
i need help,, as i am on my own with this car here,,no one knows anything about the electrics,,,switches etc,,,,,,steve sydney australia,,,,,,,,,,,,,,apart from that this car hauls *** over 2000rpm,,,when it gets moooovin...its like a mack truck,

Axle/Gears: 3.27 posi disc
Loosen the mounting screws for the ignition and dimmer switch and that will allow you to move it fwd and back. Adjust it so that the ignition works as expected, then adjust the dimmer switch. Tighten down and you're good to go.

Yeah,
i had the same problem i just an new ignation switch and you just have to adjest everthing.my friend titlted the wheel and now i am having the same problems so i gotta drop the collum and do it agian.but adjust it and bolt it up then try. do that over and over. because when you have the collum droped then the angles of the rods chaNGE and its differnt when the collum is bolted up. so its kinda a pain in the *** but you gotta go back and fourth.But its worth it. the reason mine breaks when i titlt my collum is because.............well its broke.
