Aftermarket Gauges
I have searched many nights on this topic and haven't been able to come up with any kind of definitive answers, so i am going to start a new post and hopefully someone can help me.
I have a 1989 Camaro RS which i am putting all aftermarket gauges (i. e. Auto Meter) into the gauge cluster. What i need is some help finding the wiring schematic for the gauges or how someone who has done this mod wired his/her gauges. I also need to know how you changed the speedo from cable driven to electric. Any help is much appreciated.

I have all Autometer Phantoms. I just wired it by hooking up the new gauges to the existing wiring harness in the car. If you follow circuitry on the back of the factory gauges, you can see which factory gauge each wire goes to. You just need to look at the plugs in the back of the factory dash and follow each individual one to see what gauge it goes to and hook up the new gauge to this wire. As for the eletronic speedometer, I installed a T56, so it was already electric, butI think you can buy converters to read a cable transmission and have an electric signal output.
