Can anyone tell me what was standard in an 88 5.7 TPI Trans AM for the distributor. Was it an incap HEI computer controlled? Also Does MSD make a replacement Plug and Play or do I need to get 1 from GM Thanks. A Picture would really help.

HEI dist. with external coil. The dist. is smaller than the old ones I know MSD makes a coil for that setup. Not sure about the rest of the ignition system.
