Wiring Issues?
Ok, so I've recently discovered that my cooling fan does not work. However, the relay works (I ran the wire that goes to the fan switch to the positive terminal, it clicked away). In addition, my headlights don't work (but that's already in another post). I've always been kind of skeptical of the wiring to my starter, and I was wondering if it could be the culprit, as it was completely screwed up when I got the car, and I'm not positive I fixed it 100% correctly.
What wires should be running to what post on the starter solenoid? The top, "thicker" terminal had three orangish/redish wires with fusable links and the thick black cable to the batter, the smaller terminal had a purple wire which ran into the same harness attached to it. Is this correct? Assuming this is correct, what would prevent my fan from working when it was wired to spin, wouldn't it be a bad connection between the relay and the fan, or just a bad fan motor? How should I test for either? Hope that made sense, thanks!
