sorry i put a reply in the wrong spot, i got the engine running for some reason i forgot to unplug the est after a few timing attempts but it runs good now but there is a hesitation when revving the motor from idle about 1/4 of the pedel down but i think this is normal if i'm wrong someone please tell me i know summit makes a little box for this but i just glad it runs now... CEI-102015 is the part number from summit...

ok it runs, but after a little test drive i can only give it a very small amount of gas before it starts to bogg down what going on? I was thinking spark maybe but i have an accel super coil, the distributor itself has a high performance ignition module the spark plugs are new taylors, the plugs are just regular ac delco with .35 gap should this be increased or decreased? what else could it be?

Base timing is 0*.

When you swapped to that 350, did you get 350 injectors, a 350 knock sensor, a 350 ESC module, and a 350 PROM/chip from a 350 TBI Caprice or truck (PROM has to come from a Caprice)? If not, than that's the start of you problem. Your computer still thinks you have a stock 305.

no i didn't but i've been driving the car for 3 and a half years with no problems, don't get me wrong though i do want to get the 350 stuff but as i'm trying to save like everybody else something comes up and i have to use the money....this wasn't a problem before, this may be the distributor i put in some others have said the hotter spark is playing havoc with my emission system and isn't letting it advance as it should, i'm trying to get an new oem distributor to see if this still happens but that'll take some time, in the mean time i'm trying to figure this one out...
