Repinning Instrument Panel Connector

I'm in the process of swapping in a 140 speedo, but the 85 gage cluster wiring is totally different from the electronic gage cluster wiring. How do you remove the wires from the connectors so I can rearrange them? Is there a special trick to getting them out?
