mystery box behind map pocket?

Anyone know what the computer like box is directly behind the map pocket on my '87 Trans Am? Its just a plastic box with a computer board in it with one connection. Marked "37BG" Thanks.

Since you didn't mention the size of it. it could be the VSS buffer box (large) or the Cruise Control Module (small).

It is about 3 1/2" by 4 1/2".
