Switch wiring & deciphering......
Hello,
I have a foglight switch that I would like to install in my car that did not come with fog/driving lights.
I have been unable to come up with the harness or the proper plug to attach to the switch, so i guess I will be using "spade" type connectors, or whatever it is that they are called that will slip over the prongs on the back of the switch.
How can I test this switch and find out what prong is what in the scheme of things in the electrical world?
This is what the wires are supposed to be going into the switch:
Grey (interior power)
Brown (power from relay)
Black (ground)
Purple (power to lights from switch)
Any help as far as continuity/ohms/resistance and how to determine what does what I would appreciate.
Thanks!

One side of the switch should have continuity when switched on, and not when switched off. The panel light side should have continuity regardless of what position the switch is in.
Here's the schematic from the 1991 shop manual...
